Pros

Above average bonus structure for retail. Industry leader in innovative marketing and store operations and presentations. Highly competitive environment keeps everyone driving the business.

Cons

Managers are too busy to manage and develop team. Workloads are not evenly distributed amongst team members. Promotions are inconsistently rewarded. Largely based on favoritism. Manager actually told me she didn't believe an individual was qualified for the promotion the employee received. General response to employee concerns are "do what you need to do to get the job done." People regularly work 6 days a week in order to complete tasks. Everyone is stressed. Never worked for a company where people are regularly pushed out or leave from poor treatment. Friends that still work there say it is business as usual. Company's reputation of challenging work environment is very true.

The Good, the bad, and the ugly

Pros

The thing. that I most enjoy about working at Sephora where the people. Everyone shared a common consensus, and there was rarely any disputes. I got along with mostly everyone and rarely had issues amongst ourselves. Also what I loved most, not sure if it was just for particularly me but it always seemed as if they really pushed for you to succeed. Although the discount was only 20% the added incentive to learn about new brands and products with gratis and being able to sample anything in the store was more than enough. Also certain brands at times would haveA window of time where they would give an additional 10% 20 or 30% discount along with your already employee discount.

Cons

Things that I didn't enjoy so much was favoritism amongst management, but I feel like that goes along with most job roles. Also the ugly is it's your store manager did not like you you might as well quit.
