Pros

More gratis than you could ever use; generous bonus structure; gained a lot of practical industry knowledge; great vacation policy; fun holiday parties and Town Hall meetings. Ongoing structure to acknowledge others' exemplary contributions in formal or informal presentations.

Cons

Fostered a community of immature, vacuous, catty colleagues. Work/life balance is a company value but not executed in many channels.

Pros

Sephora inside JCPenney is a very fun, energetic place to work. The pay is much higher than minimum wage, especially for retail.

There are not many downsides to working for Sephora inside JCPenney. Sephora is a very strict company, so everything must look exactly as the book.

If you are interested in working with multiple cosmetic companies under one roof without the restraints and hassles of comission, this could be a place for you.

Cons

The company grasps at straws to meet their sales goals and payroll percentages. The value of the employee has decreased since I started in 2007 and now is influenced only by the end dollar, not the client experience.
