Pros

Benefits are decent, pay scale is fine after a long waiting period.

Cons

Complacency and neglect at most locations, no accountability from coworkers & management, safety is at your own behest from the public and your own coworkers. Seniority trumps experience and knowledge. Lack of knowledge of critical components from workers and management. Lack of material, even basic components, to complete even the basic HVAC tasks. Management has zero knowledge of HVAC equipment which allows some to take advantage and let locations deteriorate then move on to anothers, leaving the next Technician to pick up the slack with zero knowledge of the location. It is a complete set back in a HVAC career.

We get paid every week.

Cons

Hours too long. Company doesn’t want to pay use a comparable wage to other railroads. Septa's rules are applied at their behest. Riders have weaponized the fact Septa doesn’t want use to in force payment. I
