Pros

Sequoia has been an outstanding company to work for! The benefits and pay are extremely competitive and the environment is always a positive one. They are forward thinking and always looking outside of the box to remain unique yet relevant to what today's renter is looking for in a home. I feel like I've been given the proper tools and training to really excel in my career.

Cons

There are no cons in my opinion. The only thing that I would like to see within the company is a 401K matching program for longer term employees.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about our Company. We completely agree with you that Sequoia needs to continue to invest in our team members not only in the present but in the future as well. We are excited to share that we will be moving forward this year in implementing a match to your 401k contributions! We have partnered with a great financial adviser that will be out at the properties in the next few months to help you with future planning, including maximizing your 401k contributions to ensure you get the maximum allowed with our matching program. Again, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to share your experience with Sequoia! Enrica

Pros

Sequoia Equities has a excellent training program. Innovative, always two steps ahead of other Management companies. Main concern is residents and customer experience.

Cons

Health benefits are extremely high. They don't match funds for 401K. They don't pay out for unused sick time. Salaries used to be competitive.

Pros

-Benefits, Perks, Salary is decent, Bonus, Training.

Cons

Zero support from home office when it comes to residents that are violent, verbally abusive to the staff, or tell blatant lies in order to get free money or exploit the company for freebies. I have personally seen residents lie, curse out and threaten the staff in the office, then turn around and call home office and they are rewarded for their absolutely abhorrent behavior by getting free rent, gift cards, or cash credits. Corporate should back their employees, and trust the managers on site to handle each situation without giving everyone free money. It encourages the residents to berate the staff, lie, and slander us online because they know they can manipulate the system. If the experience matters, why is the experience for the employees so poor? Yes they provide us with amazing perks.. but the support to the staff from home office needs to change. Please stop allowing residents to treat your staff so poorly and back your employees when an issue arises. Why hire employees you do not trust to make judgment calls? This is by far my largest complaint. It seems that this new "feedback rich culture" is based solely on the residents feedback/complaints and not on the employees feedback.
