Pros
- Great work environment - Family oriented, great camaraderie - Causal dress - Opinions are heard and matter
Cons
We are a growing company, so space is getting limited. When we are all making our calls, it can get distracting.
Pros
Got to work with a small team of wonderful people, we went through a-lot together and the work environment was great.
Cons
Overall the company is good but has had issues staying on track and recently got merged.
Pros
work hard/play hard, unlimited pto, free pay day lunches, relaxed work environment
Cons
fast paced work environment; the product, management, needs are ever changing, so need to keep up and outlook is changing as market is changing.
Pros
Exciting work environment Good comp plan
Cons
Too bad we couldn't go it alone and had to merge
Pros
SevOne is poised to dominate in the network performance management space. The team was like one huge family across the world. Great work environment, great people who appreciated what you did, good mid-level managers who cared about you as a person, wonderful product owners, and an awesome new facility in the heart of Newark, DE. There were many perks as well, such as free lunches every other day, good work/life balance, fair pay rates, and a fun atmosphere!
Cons
One huge misstep was the Bain investment and the desire to grow way too fast. In doing so, SevOne became uber-corporate, and while the "culture of awesome" remained among the mid-level managers and individual contributors who were making the company's gears actually turn, the senior execs tucked themselves away in their new Boston HQ and fell victim to the temptation of the almighty dollar and corporate America. SevOne didn't make its revenue numbers for 2015, and so Bain's punishment was a reduction in workforce that had no basis in an individual's performance, dedication, or contribution. They tore apart family and friends without warning, and the layoff process consisted of a meeting with HR followed by being escorted out the same day as if you didn't matter at all.
Pros
Great work environment. Agility, innovation, and growth are cornerstones of this organization
Cons
None that I can think of
Pros
Really relaxed environment, where if you get your work done, no one gives you a hard time for working on personal projects. I think it's the people who make working here fun. Everyone is pretty smart and super helpful and want to see you succeed here.
Cons
As would be the case with any company going through rapid growth, there is constant change. This can get frustrating at times when we have to backpedal on process level decisions. Also, placement of unnecessary items in commonly used areas.
Pros
Very friendly, collaborative, work environment. Employees are empowered to take ownership and drive success in their functional areas. Fantastic facilities. Sevone is using the latest, state of the art, software, cloud, and analytics technologies for its new solution. Very interesting solution space. Sevone has evolved, adapted, and overcome its problems from years past and is well positioned for rapidly growing new markets. Stable customer base.
Cons
Total addressable market is large and growing quickly. Sevone needs to very selectively define the path it wants to take and the customer base it wants to conquer. It doesn't have the resources to be all things to all customers in its market space.
Pros
Decent pay, and ok benefits. Biweekly lunches and weekly Mr. Softee visits are nice in the summer.
Cons
Some friendly people, but most are part of a clique. Like High School, employees have events, clubs and socials as a way to meet and interact with others. Although, unless your part of the in crowd, you do not matter. Across the board, no one in management is either a class act or a leader in any sense. Manager's manage, Directors direct, but there is no motivation or understanding of what goes on day to day in there department. It is a very selfish environment to work in. There is no reward program, no incentives, just a lot of work.
Pros
- Great product to sell. Incredible growth over the past few years reflect how good the product is & how well it is positioned to succeed over legacy vendors in the space. Development team works extremely hard to improve the product every day. - Very healthy work environment. The team works extremely hard while still keeping things "loose". Managers do what they can to address concerns & are transparent. Team often has happy hours & team building events. - Clear opportunities to advance from within. If you put in the work you will be rewarded. - Marketing team has done a great job as of late to position the product & grow the brand. - Senior management has made a concerted effort to improve communication as the company grows. Very approachable. - Wilmington office will soon move to the STAR Campus at University of Delaware which looks incredible. - Nice perks. Ice cream truck every Wednesday during the summer, catered lunches, happy hours, etc.
Cons
- Lots of cold calling. Normal for this type of position but not for everyone. - Steep learning curve if you don't have a technical background. Not only to learn the product but about the industry in general. Must have an "always learning" attitude or else you will struggle. - Growing pains. Company is rapidly expanding so this is to be expected.
