The HR team is beginning to exodus

Pros

You’ll get to try things you haven’t done before

Cons

Teams are beginning a mass exit now that bonuses have been paid out. And many more are actively looking. Do not let this company gaslight you into thinking the reviews aren’t true. They are true. I know at least a dozen people experiencing mental health challenges or struggling with their physical health directly tied to the stress of this place. The leadership promotes “productive paranoia”, but it’s not productive at all. In the eyes of executives it may be, because then they wring employees out with 12+ hour workdays. But for the people doing the work? Nothing about it is productive. The HR team is falling apart and new VPs have joined who have made an already tough HR environment significantly worse. Instead of anyone seeing people leaving as a sign to dig deep and look in the mirror at the culture, they shrug and say “this isn’t for everyone”. No, it isn’t for anyone. And ignoring such clear feedback and data is negligent, at best.

Pros

Some genuinely good people exist here

Cons

The single most dysfunctional company I've worked for and it's driven from the CEO downwards. False panic is written into the company ethos, on day one you will be taught to 'act with urgency at all times'... You're not saving lives here, you're making coffee machines and vacuum cleaners. Each week there will be a new false drama, sparked by over caffeinated decision makers at the weekly show and tell that will send whole programmes into a tail spin. The energy in the office is more often than not nervous and sweaty. I've never met so many great people struggling with their mental health and in nearly all cases it was driven by this place. I worked here for a long time and it wasn't until I left that I realised how big of an impact working here was having on the rest of my life. If you enjoy being paid money to turn off your moral compass, be compliant and learn practices that are non-transferable to any other company then come work here.
