Pros
Good pay, opportunity to have a big impact on the product if you are willing to work outside of normal hours. Solid yearly merit based bonuses.
Cons
Disorganized, upper leadership shows that they do not care for employees below them by constantly changing direction, forcing unrealistic deadlines and expecting all employees to work considerably more than 40 hours per week. Most managers are too busy to invest any time in the growth of their employees besides sending them to generic workshops. Little opportunity for growth due to lack of proper management and deadlines that leave no time for self development. They prefer to hire interns, eventually promote them to full time and maybe after years promote them to senior engineer but that seems like a soft cap for how high you can get starting from base engineer.
