Hard to move up to supervisory position, top- down management, reviews are based on favoritism, pay is low and only increases by .50 cents at most every year, working at the hospital you can get sick.

Pros

Good pay, good benefits. Sharp invests in its leaders with quarterly leadership development sessions.

Cons

ILV policy is abused by many employees. HR seems afraid to touch these people even when many people are absent outside the parameters of their Dr.s ILV. Operations suffers greatly when these people are absent and there are no replacements for them when they are out.

Pros

I got hired as a new grad registered nurse and was trained very thoroughly by very compassionate and knowledgeable staff members. High acuity patients lead to all kinds of different patient situations where I gained a lot of nursing skills. Also, we have "premium pay" shifts at times which equates to double-time/double-pay

Cons

Not the best hourly pay & benefits in comparison to other nearby hospitals. We do not get a pension but do get 401k & 403b. Health benefits aren't included as they are with other nearby hospitals
