Pros

Low insurance premium and copays Matches at 6% Well-organized, constantly trying to improve and innovate -Social workers are not unionized like UCSD or Kaiser

Cons

-Overly reliant on social workers for discharge planning -Not unionized so dont pay the social workers equivalent to what the work entails. -There is no negotiating salary on a yearly basis. You have set 0-4% salary increase/year

Pros

Great benefits (full and part-time employees have great educational benefits, including completely paid degrees for certain fields/schools.) They occasionally buy staff food and bring goodies. Management is pretty good Pay is slightly higher than surrounding hospitals (but not Kaiser or UCSD)

Cons

Despite higher pay, it is still way too low. Staffing is always low. Employee parking can be a hassle. Typical Hospital cons
