Cons

A good handful of the front line and entry level staff are amazing humans… but management is incompetent, and think that adding jeans into the dress code and the occasional pizza party and little trophies for working hard are the end of what employees deserve. People who work hard are not promoted, people who suck up or are connected are. It’s disgusting. Don’t expect to feel like you are ever enough, but you will definitely be expected to work out of class, and do more than just your job… you’ll be doing everyone else’s too if you happen to care enough and be competent. You’d be better off working somewhere else. The benefits and the pay aren’t what they seem, and every time the union helps us gain footing… the county will slowly chip away at that footing and you’ll have to go on strike to get any type of raise or affordable health coverage in the future. And god forbid you need accommodations or have a temporary health or family situation. You won’t get the help you need… even if they say they will help you on paper so they don’t get sued.
