Pros

Being one of the largest employers in the Redding area, 2000+ employees, there will be some good people and some bad. Some people are super smart, some people are not. Some people want to do good work and some people just want to get benefits and count down the days until their paid retirement. Like all large employers (both private and government) there will be a variety...but the cons below are the problems.

Cons

It's overall an unhealthy place to work. Almost every meeting room has candy as the center piece on the tables. Even the new employee orientation had bowls of bite size snickers all over. I've worked at a number of large organizations and nothing compares to this place. The number of overweight and obese employees was shocking.

Pros

Experience, ability to learn, some co-workers, ability to talk to Directors, face paced and deadline driven, learn how to problem solve.

Cons

Supervisors do not give equal reviews of your work performance, listen to suggestions and it's who you suck up to.
