Pros

There's a lot to do, so you aren't bored doing the same tasks over and over. Coworkers tend to get along. I enjoyed working with customers choosing paint colors and offering advice for their projects.

Cons

Schedule flexibility depends on who else is available. Entitled customers. Huge rushes. No scheduled lunch breaks.

Pros

They have insurance, some work-life benefits, and you can advance in positions.

Cons

You will be understaffed and overworked. In my personal experience they had me running an entire store, alone for 13/hr, with no security or backup, and no breaks. You will be forced to take on mass amounts of product knowledge in a very short amount of time. You will be doing manager level work regardless of if you're a manager or not. They use outdated and frustrating data systems. And on top of it all, I believe they recently slashed 401k match!
