Pros

-Decent money with bonuses -Easy relocation -Good resume building opportunities -Great if you get along with the two or three others working at your store

Cons

-Mandatory overtime -High Stress and quick burnout -Out of touch administration -Lots of micromanaging -Corporate assigns hours of busywork such as sales calls or email quotas -Perpetually and intentionally short staffed so you're often working retail alone, with long lines of customers, no lunches, no breaks -Always on the clock; getting called while at home from upper management, customers, and employees -Store resources are often defunct, convoluted, or outdated

Pros

Job security, some customers are great, sales training

Cons

Very entry level company, this is a stepping stone not long term. Management at city and area level are very novice at best. City managers and Sales managers act like this is a college job. (pizza parties, they talk to you like you're a child, scavenger hunts, etc) Pay is below average, you cannot move up in this company unless you check certain boxes and/or are a "favorite," terrible place to work. If you want to feel like you're under a microscope by a bunch of amateurs, this is the place for you.

Pros

Good benefits, decent time off, and it's a decent work environment as far as manual labor goes.

Cons

HR is a joke and management is not too far behind, they claim they don't give raises due to the ability to move up in the company quickly. This may be true for some, but from my experience it's used as an excuse to not give fair wages for the work done. Often times we are told to do things FAR above our pay grade without fair compensation. Also, if you do not get along well with your coworkers it is very difficult to find satisfaction in your work as a team.
