Pros

Great benefits, Normal hours, Decent starting pay

Cons

The job I had was billed as "Office Technician" and was considered to be a glorified administrative assistant, yet I was making fairly intricate logistical decisions on a daily basis. Furthermore, the position had a very low salary cap for what the job responsibilities were.

Pros

This place is great if you want to build personal relationships with customers. It allows you develop personal skills with many types of people depending on which store you are located. The co-workers are generally nice people, helpful, and be fun to work with. The company also gives you the freedom to move around and do as you please at the store so long you are doing something work related.

Cons

The downside to this company is the wage is very low for the work that is required of you. There is constant testing on product knowledge without very little help from upper management. Also, there are no study guides that are immediately available for the employees to brush up on their product knowledge. The district has strict deadlines and expect you to have completed the training with or without understand their products. There are no benefits and no incentives that would help the employee engage and maintain a level of interest with the company. Stores are short from staff members and also have extremely tight budgets. The sales that are required from the stores are generally impossible to meet. There is a lot of segregation in the company usually separated by ranks. It would help if the company would work together harmoniously in a group and receive more praise from upper management instead of having the information trickle down. Bonus checks are only offered to Assistant Managers and Managers in stores. It would help if they were distributed with everyone according to level in the store including part-timers and full-timers since the Assistants and Managers are not the only ones running the store. Manual labor can be very demanding at times depending on what store you are located which can cause back pain if you work at a very busy store. Spanish is a must since most of your clients will be contractors.
