Pros
The ability to advance in the company does exist as others have mentioned here. The other big plus is that the salary and benefits are pretty good. The customers are pleasant and most treat employees with respect.
Cons
Sadly, being a manager at SW now means very little. We have pretty much no staff to "manage" and all pricing has to be approved by District Management. The Store Manager role has turned into a well-paying clerical job and it is sad it has come to that. The other issue is work-life balance is now non-existent. Stores are now open till 7 on weekdays and till 6 Saturday and Sunday. Combine this with the lack of staffing and it's rough! This may be fine for folks without a spouse/kids but for many of us it doesn't work.
