Pros

Career advancement opportunities are wonderful, usually promote from within. Great pay, benefits, and training.

Cons

Can be a dirty job at times. Lots of heavy lifting and dealing with sometimes very upset customers. Some down time when you have to be motivated to stay busy.

Pros

Solid company to work for. At corporate, if you work hard you can advance, somewhat. A lot of people start out in customer services jobs, which helps them to learn the different aspects of the business. I see many people come from those jobs to higher level jobs. People are treated respectfully. Benefits and retirement plans are good. One of the better vacation allowances still around these days, probably. Upper management makes an effort to keep employees engaged and informed.

Cons

Entry jobs out in the field (stores, distribution, plants) may have less opportunity for advancement, longer hours, and lower pay.
