Feels like a dying company

Pros

Good benefits and Target discounts. The job itself is easy and low stress. The company is heavily overstaffed, and it shows. In many cases, it feels like multiple people are assigned to work that one person could handle. That leads to a lot of downtime and very little accountability. The environment can feel unproductive—often like only a small portion of the team is actually working while others are just filling time. If you’re looking to stay challenged, grow, or feel a sense of accomplishment, this isn’t the place. If you’re okay coasting, you’ll fit right in. Almost like a government job where you see 10 people sitting watching the 1 person working. Great if you enjoy sitting and watching.

Cons

Leadership is the biggest issue at this company. The executive team feels disconnected, passive, and largely ineffective. There’s little sense of direction, and decisions don’t inspire confidence. It often feels like leadership is reacting rather than actually leading. TBH, the executive team feels like they were all diversity hires with little to no experience to run an enterprise company. There are also clear signs of stagnation. Even small things—like the SWAG store not being updated in years—reflect a lack of attention to culture and employee engagement. It gives the impression that maintaining the status quo is the priority, not improving the company. The work environment has also become stagnant. Many roles are so easy that people aren’t leaving, not because they’re highly engaged, but because there’s little incentive to move on. Instead of addressing this in a productive way, recent decisions have made the workplace less enjoyable, which feels counterproductive. There’s also a growing perception that while formal terminations are avoided, the environment may be shifting in ways that indirectly push people to leave. Whether intentional or not, it creates frustration and uncertainty across teams. Right now, it feels like the organization is coasting—and it shows.
