Pros

Meeting new friends. Mentally easy work. Pay can be really good if you make commission. Most associates are genuinely good people and good co-workers.

Cons

Pay can be downright depressing if you do not make commission. Associates running the register (and holding the key to your sales goals) may steal or give your sale to someone else. If you are not a friend of the manager, or go against a manager in anyway, perceived or not, then you are screwed and need to start looking for a job elsewhere. District Manager will hire friends, and give them the best shifts.
