Pros

Good diversity of projects, Descent work life balance, staff is great to work with

Cons

Upper management is only concerned with meeting their own department's goals and don't work together as a team. They only care about themselves, You are constantly micromanaged about your billable time and sales goal, upper management has little trust in staff and promote through favoritism. Upper management if very much a good old boys club, benefits are expensive and salaries appear to be on the low side. As a senior manager you will be stuck with an achievable sales goal as you will be stick with the clients that don't have work or the company won't sign their contract.

Thank you for your feedback, and for noting our great staff, diversity of projects, and a work/life balance that supports our employee-owners. I am disappointed to hear your experience and concerns. As an ESOP, all of our company's profits are returned to our employee-owners. We strive to match each employee's talents and interests to the needs of the company, and balance supporting our employees, managing our business, and providing our employees autonomy and responsibility. We will continue to work to improve this balance, along with continuing to invest in technology. (Note, as of April 2020, nearly all of our employees are working from home, successfully delivering projects to our clients.) Sincerely, David E. Ott, CEO/President

I appreciate your feedback and am disappointed to hear your thoughts, as this is not reflective of our goal to provide opportunities for career development and growth. We have a structured career development guide and program implemented across the company. At SEH, we encourage ongoing learning and look to place talent in positions they can be successful and engaged. We are dedicated to being a successful business built on the foundation of a diverse and inclusive workforce. I would also like to address your concerns regarding pay and benefits. We research and review multiple sources for industry and regional pay information to support our Company’s market-based compensation approach to be competitive within our industry. The SEH Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is also a great employee benefit that sets us apart, resulting in above-average total compensation. Sincerely, David E. Ott, CEO/President

Pros

Good work life balance, flexible schedules, fair and attainable bonus structure

Cons

lack of team building atmosphere, on an island if you're in a remote office and corporate does nothing to alleviate that feeling, expensive benefits, outdated technology, incredibly wasteful spending with no forethought. Maybe if they put some thought into their budgets, their benefits could be more reasonable. Wealth/time off benefits very heavily favor tenured employees, very little for new employees to want stick around for initially. Felt unwelcomed by team filled with very tenured employees, was not given the opportunity to use skills I was hired for.

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your endorsement of our good work-life balance, flexible schedules, and bonus structures.I am disappointed to hear your struggles working in a satellite office. Keeping our employees in the smaller offices fully engaged and supported is a challenge, but something we need to continue to improve as we grow. One thing I learned visiting our 'satellite' offices over the last year is that many of our staff do think of SEH as family and feel connected to their co-workers in the local office; and we need to maintain that culture, as well as strengthen the ties to the other offices. We are continuing to build that connectivity through upgraded technology, improved communications, and a focus on employee engagement.Sincerely,David E. Ott, CEO/President
