Small company doesn't have enough people to do everything we want.

It's no surprise most of the glowing reviews on here are from interns because honestly, they are treated really well at SideFX, because they are truly valued by all layers of management. It's not the same for employees, who are constantly left in the dark by upper management, not trusted to do their jobs by controlling managers, and often stuck filling the same role responsibilities for 5-10-15 years, as the company favors making external hires over promoting from within. It's also very siloed and political, with most staff favoring doing their own thing over collaboration, often feels like a kill or be killed environment, with staff looking out for themselves instead of each other. It's a very unhealthy environment it's sad to say.
