The People and the Mission Are Wonderful

Pros

The people and the mission of changing the health insurance landscape have been the best experience of working with Sidecar. Employees truly believe in the mission, and it has been inspiring watching strategies come to fruition. The company is focused on the member experience, and internal and external associates have similar problem-solving demeanors, which gets things done.

Cons

Like any growing company, processes can be fluid as they are fine-tuned. Agility and flexibility are good qualities to have in order to adapt to process changes.

CEO says one thing and does another. Not afraid of mass layoffs multiple times. Terrible communication from People Ops.

We are unable to verify this review because we have never done multiple rounds of layoffs (we did one layoff in June of 2021) and did not have any SWEII employees in San Francisco. We take feedback very seriously, but unfortunately this does not appear to contain any actionable feedback and appears to be a fake review.

Pros

My Sidecar Health experience thus far has been incredibly positive. All the way up to the founders (CEO/COO) folks are bright, engaged, compassionate, and connected to the mission. We work hard and care about our values and colleagues. The model is working in the market at a time when healthcare costs continue to skyrocket and consumerism is needed more than ever.

Cons

It's a fast pace, we have lots to do! This is not a place for someone who is looking to coast, but there is a healthy culture of work-life balance and taking recharge time.
