Pros

Good place for new college graduates to grow professionally. They have very good training program for new graduates.

Cons

Siemens PLM, previously UGS, previously part of EDS, previously UGS/SDRC.. it had been owned by different parties and changed hands several times. To make the company appeared more profitable in order to sell to the next buyer for a good price, a lot of employee training programs had been cut off.

Pros

Because it is a global organization that covers multiple business industries and has a large software product line, there are many opportunities to learn about different industries and to network with others within the organization that have diverse experiences or product knowledge.

Cons

As with all companies that have a large customer base within manufacturing industries it is a difficult time.

Pros

Stable company does what it can to retain heads. They are good about doing everything they can to place individuals as quickly as possible when times get tough, which is extremely important for an employer to do.

Cons

Very little if any opportunity for advancement, questionable criteria for placement of candidates in leadership positions. Applicants are not screened based on experience or skillset, but rather objective determinations based on prior job titles. Employees want to feel that they will be evaluated on an equal scale with their coworkers, and will be considered for opportunities of advancement according to experience and competency.
