They have good benefits compared to other companies. You can learn lots of new stuff if you don't mind doing it on your own time. The company name seems to carry a lot of weight. They are into interesting technology.

Cons

Siemens wants its pound of flesh. If your division is small it can make the year-to-year outcomes look bad and that's when you will start to get "help". The help appears to be the last nail in the coffin when there isn't vast improvement. I wouldn't work for them again because of the way they conduct employee reviews and feedback they give. If you are "old" look somewhere else. They consider experience a commodity.

Solid company excellent product and services. Invests heavily in R+D. Sometimes European heritage gets in the way of streamline business processes and allowing flexibility to react to marketplace in US.

Cons

Excessive downsizing in 2009 that affected revenue and customer satisfaction. The downsizing was so severe that after the fact senior management recognized this and tried to hire back.

Over the past 24+ years I had the opportunity of working in different functions and business fields and countries. This gave me vast opportunities of professional and personal growth. Personal development and training, off and on the job are outstanding in Siemens.

Cons

Being a German company, Siemens employs a wide variety of internal rules and regulations. While certain minimum requirements mandatory - like business conduct guidelines - others could be more flexible, adaptive and responsive in terms of culture and business needs - like travel regulations.
