Pros

Great coworkers Free lunch Nice office

Cons

It appears that Sigma’s leadership has taken inspiration from Elon’s style, fostering a negative culture and a toxic work environment. Employees are expected to work long hours. Glassdoor reviews are inflated and misleading. If you plan to work on fronted, all of your front end PRs will be blocked by one of the cofounders and you will have to deal with his toxic comments, please take it seriously as it will happen. Career growth path is unclear. Favoritism. Little diversity. The company’s primary focus is on hiring new graduates. Senior engineers are heavily involved in mentoring new grads, which creates significant distractions from their own projects, yet there is nothing offered in return.

Pros

* Competitive pay * Good benefits ( lunch, scooter, dog-friendly ) * The vast majority of IC's are great coworkers

Cons

* Job security is poor. Sales especially is a revolving door * Terrible diversity in sales * Demanding work culture that leads to burn out. Most people in sales did not stay more than 2 years. Those who didn't meet their number were cut, and the top performers had better opportunities to move to where they could be paid and appreciated more * The people who provide the least value have the loudest voices * It seems like each quarter the company culture gets even worse * The current glassdoor rating for this company is inflated, with a number of fake 5 star reviews created by management ( ex: reviews left from Jul 9th - Jul 12th... )

Pros

Sigma is the best BI tool on the market, so it's a lot of fun getting to participate in the sales process. The training is very robust, and you're given a lot of trust to learn at your own pace. The pay is also good, and the office perks are outstanding.

Cons

The NYC office is quite loud and often runs out of conference rooms. It's not a big deal as long as you book meetings in advance. They also give a $300 dollar credit for office supplies, which I used to get high quality noise cancellation.
