Pros

- Great product - innovative and has proven it's place - Ego-free, people-oriented, trusting culture - Great people from impressive backgrounds (see leadership especially -- all who see the vision and have invested their experience into this journey)

Cons

- People are passionate and work really hard and at all hours, so it's easy to get messages at random times (but never pressured to work) - Growing fast, so organization is defining itself still - each additional member makes an impact

Pros

One of the best cultures I've seen. Open, hardworking, collaborative and non-political. It's an exciting team to be part of as the product is driving real transformation and value to companies that are adopting a cloud data strategy. The team is super experienced, but humble and approachable. Theres a magic about working this early on a product that is transforming the way people will work.

Cons

Fast moving with lots of great problem solving (this is something that I personally love, but not everyone does).

Pros

- A few really smart and capable employees, unfortunately most don't stay too long. - Great office location downtown. - Competitive salary and okay-ish benefits (all the basics are covered, but no 401k matching and don't expect any cool startup benefits). - Great investors that keep investing despite the product not being competitive enough and very slow growth.

Cons

- Most people seem to have little to no idea of what they should be doing and instead focusing on politics. If you are a doer and not into politics, don't waste your time here. - Poor hiring and non-existent onboarding. Execs don't seem experienced enough to hire good people and invest into developing talent. - Demotivating culture with people being fired left and right. Sometimes you find out people were fired several days or weeks later. Speaking out and having opinions is not encouraged. If you are nice and keep quiet you'll be able to keep your job even if you don't do any actual work. - Lots of talk of how great the product is, however very few people in the company actually use it. Some of the biggest clients bought into Sigma's story, but are not using the product after failing to get the value out of it.

Sigma Computing Response

We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your time at Sigma and we greatly appreciate the feedback. We are always looking to improve the employee experience and increase employee happiness at Sigma. We're delighted to hear that you believe our employees are capable and smart, we couldn't agree more. This was a big growth year for us as we increased our team by 61%. Finding and training the team so we can all thrive is something we're always looking to improve. You will be happy to hear that on-boarding was a high priority for us this year - we recently launched a new program that includes several days of company and product training. We've also established a culture team that works to develop and promote our core values, including how we communicate employee departures (which has always been to update the org the day someone leaves) We agree there's a lot of buzz about our product, with recognitions for Most Innovative Products from the Strata Data Conference, as well as CNBC Upstart 100 list. Just as we promote our customers to access their data, we are always working hard to do the same for our employees by promoting product usage through training to ensure every domain expert at the company is part of the data conversation. We know that employee happiness is a journey, something we need to work hard everyday. We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us so we can continue to improve.
