Pros

I can't really think of any, genuinely. The pay is equal to McDonald's, but for far more work, so that's not really a pro.

Cons

On sites where there is a higher amount of danger, like apartment complexes with violent individuals, you are given no extra equipment or training. You are also expected to walk up to blacked out vehicles at nighttime with no firearm to press parking violation issues. I requested training to be authorized to use pepper spray or other non lethal means of defense and was declined as it was determined I didn't need it by management. This is the same property that had an entire group chat dedicated to reporting me through the night which I reported, in addition to death threats being put on my vehicle on my shift. Management: - - - In my opinion, not up to the task. Several egregious workplace rule violations have been conducted by several employees at the company which I immediately reported to management, but no action was taken despite these incidents occurring in front of me, and in many incidents, of their vehicle cameras. Additionally, their management team is comprised largely of individuals with no security experience or licenses, I was told this verbally from them, this is not conjecture or speculation. The most you'll get out of the manager chat on your phone is a "10-4" or "Copy" multiple hours later after an incident happens on site and you request urgent support. Phonecalls go unanswered routinely. Such violations that I have visually witnessed firsthand: - Employee sleeping in the company vehicle off the property - Mobile Patrol employee sleeping in the company vehicle ON property in front of customers with the seat reclined. - Manager doing things right in front of me that he would later come back and punish me for after I followed his example (Giving rides to children, etc.) - Employees doing drugs on property with customers present in front of vehicle cameras that clearly don't work Additionally, employees who go beyond the normal standard and conduct vigorous patrols, solve problems, catch criminals, and go above and beyond in customer service and performance receive absolutely no recognition by management, and their achievements are instead used as leverage to show existing contract holders that the company is doing excellent service and should have contracts renewed instead of showcasing the employee who generated the noteworthy praise. I speak from my personal experience on this. Workplace Culture: - - - Little to none: Management does not collaborate with employees beyond basic recognition of daily routine tasks. There is a yearly raffle for money but there's no way to participate beyond clocking in for work, and you have to compete with all locations across the country for prizes. Hardest Part: - - - Realizing the fact that employees can be paid the same for sleeping on the job and doing drugs as the employees who maintain excellence and go above and beyond without misconduct. There is no incentive to work hard when people actively avoiding the job, sleeping, and etc are compensated equally. Additionally, tenants at some sites will coordinate to threaten you if you continue to enforce parking rules. Best Part: - - - Initial optimism at the start of the job, the very few times I received any form of praise for good work at my shifts. TLDR: High risk sites, lack of protective equipment, lack of discipline, rules not enforced, recognition taken from you when you do something well for the company

Pros

The company offers opportunities to work with talented and hard-working individuals. Many employees are dedicated to their work and try their best to make an impact despite the challenges. The company’s mission and values are well-intentioned, but unfortunately, the execution does not always align with these ideals.

Cons

Leadership and Core Values: While the company has established Core Values, there seems to be a disconnect between what is communicated by leadership and the actions that are taken at the executive level. For example, decisions made by senior leadership often conflict with the values the company publicly promotes, which causes frustration and confusion among employees. Financial Stability: The company’s financial stability is a concern. There is uncertainty around the long-term viability of the business, which affects morale and confidence in the company’s future. This instability also impacts employees’ compensation and benefits. Bonuses and Incentives: The quarterly bonus opportunity is not as significant or attainable as it is made out to be. Many employees feel that the program is more of a motivational tool rather than a real financial benefit. Onboarding and Internal Communication: Onboarding processes for internal employees lack consistency, which often results in confusion and a lack of direction. It can be challenging to understand roles and responsibilities without clear guidance, especially when expectations are constantly shifting. Leadership’s Influence on Culture: Frequent changes in priorities and communication from the CEO create a sense of ambiguity and instability. This shift in direction often undermines the team’s sense of purpose and can lead to confusion about company goals. Talent Management and HR Support: The company lacks effective talent management processes. HR, instead of proactively addressing employee needs and fostering career development, often appears focused on handling fallout from executive decisions. This reactive approach leaves employees without the support they need to grow and thrive. Work Environment and Team Dynamics: Despite a lot of good and talented people working here, the work environment can feel pressured. Employees often face expectations that lead them to act against their better judgment, which can create a divided and siloed culture. This, in turn, makes collaboration difficult and leads to a lack of trust among teams. Franchisee Support: While the company promises strong support for its franchisees, the reality is that many recent franchisees are struggling. The Home Office has been understaffed due to frequent layoffs, making it difficult to provide the level of support necessary for all 140+ franchise locations. CEO Behavior: Leadership, particularly from the CEO, often feels disconnected from the reality employees face. There is a tendency toward self-promotion and a lack of receptiveness to criticism, which can create a hostile environment for open dialogue. When employees attempt to raise concerns or suggest improvements, they are often met with defensiveness or aggression. This makes it difficult to foster a culture of transparency and trust.

Pros

Easy as long as staff didn't go out of their way to make it 20 times more difficult than it had to be

Cons

Owner has no experience in the field he's managing. And in my case, if you lose patience because no one will get your check from from the office on payday or the following Saturday, and you have to spend half of that saturday trying to get ahold of a key holder to grab it for you, so you suggest better communication and organization to the boss, he'll just simply not talk to you for the remainder of your employment. Disorganized, untrained guards at an armed position. Location owner has no experience in law enforcement, military or even low level security but insists on handling everything. Communication is either non existent or will have you wishing it was. I worked many hours overtime to assure things were done properly without pay (even though I was offered cash 😉😑) quit and my last paycheck was $482 short.
