Pros

Computer system works fairly well Initial manager was good Freedom to choose work site (when available) Radio system works really well Franchised company Promised training in take-downs, firearms, OC, handcuffs, etc.

Cons

"Upper management" (company of <20 has 5 administrative staff), administrative staff consists of individuals who do not posses any management skill. Several administrative staff members "are ex law enforcement", meaning that they served as a detention center employee in one capacity or another. Management struggles with basic communication Administrative employees lack the required experience -- No HR experience at all, etc. Unlicensed security guards working in a licensed capacity Unlicensed armed security guards working in an armed capacity Absolutely horrible relationship with law enforcement (mainly due to S88 guards placing people under arrest when they have no authority, or battery, etc.) Was never given any formal training, was given OC and handcuffs without any knowledge of how they work or how to properly use them. Very stressful - often on your own in lethal situations (nearest backup is 3+ minutes away).

Pros

Not one Pro to this company.

Cons

Days off won't happen, not even for funerals. They worry more about the contracts than the employees. They won't fix their own vehicles and expect the employee to fix it with their own time. They say they are law abiding, but they broke more laws on a nightly basis than any company I have ever worked for.. Good supervisors don't last long, because if they try to use common sense they are put on probation. Bad training. They might tell you one thing and you will get in trouble later for doing that. Management is a joke. Worst of all NO COMMON SENSE in the company.
