Pros

The residents. I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did if I didn’t feel bad about leaving them. They have a new program for higher pay than when I was in house and the pay now starts at like $18 or so.

Cons

The place is always understaffed (say they don’t have the money to pay people to work), the office is shady and resident’s money disappears regularly, and needed maintenance of rooms and appliances never happens despite constant reassurance it’s being worked on. They once served what they called “refurbished” food because they kitchen isn’t owned by Signature (their parent company) or the nursing home itself. It’s contracted out, and sometimes they simply aren’t resupplied. Week old food will be fixed up to appear newer.
