The only pro is there is overtime

but the cons are standing on your feet all day, low pay, management who talk about you to other staff, etc

Pros

Fantastic nurse manager on my unit with very supportive staff. The nursing manager on my unit takes concerns into consideration and addresses them well. Scheduling is consistent but flexible. Good benefits and union membership are pluses.

Cons

Because this is an inner city hospital, the patient population can be very challenging at times. Not enough CNA’s on the unit some nights, which can make busy shifts very stressful.

It was an excellent place to work until senior leadership changed, now it is toxic

Cons

They do not care about employees. They were reluctant to let employees that could easily work remotely during the shut down, work remote. They do not care or recognize skilled employees. They prefer employees just do what they say regardless of whether it is right or legal.
