Pros

Rapidly growing, smart company. Always seems to stay one step ahead of the market and the competition.

Cons

Doesn't always take care of long time, experienced workers. Seem to favor new over old.

Thank you for your review and for being a part of our Sika team. You're right, we do aim to stay one step ahead of the competition. And we really value the long term expertise that company loyalty within our employees brings. We have many employees who have been with the business for a long time, and the knowledge that they have helps to make us the success we are today.

Bad experience, but not a terrible place to work

Pros

People were nice, flexible scheduling

Cons

People were very set in their ways and were not always willing to help or explain things to someone new. There was zero tolerance for mistakes. No one is perfect, so this isn't acceptable. I was put into a position under a new manager who didn't know what he was doing (he had also just started). We were trying to switch over to a program that was already in use in Europe to produce MSDSs, but it was an impossible task. I would make a MSDS following the procedure I was given from Europe then sales and R&D would freak out about it having stuff in there that reacted out, repeat, repeat, repeat. I tried my very best to work with the program and with everyone involved, but it was a terribly frustrating ordeal. My manager even told me I had a bad attitude when I would explain my frustrations. At the peak of this, I was offered a job from a previous employer and ran as fast as I could.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Sika. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience. As a technologically advanced company we regularly update our internal systems to ensure that our processes run in the most efficient way possible. Obviously we understand that additional staff training and support is required at these times and we are very sorry that you didn't receive it. Please be assured that we will look into this and use your feedback to improve our future roll outs.
