Pros
Being with the engineering team of simility now I have these positive things to say: 1. Unlike many big software companies in India where more involved technical roles and projects are kept in US headquarters only, simility has done great distribution of projects across all the teams and locations of the company. 2. Ownership is big part of simility's philosophy. We encourage people to stand for what they are involved into from design to delivery phase. 3. Compensation wise your hard work is always rewarded properly. No workaround for hard work in that regard. 4. At a very young stage in your career you will get opportunities to handle key projects and customer interactions. 5. Great engineering team. People are easily approachable and helping. 6. Near flat structure of the company make communicating your suggestions, concerns very easy. 7. For people wanted to stay in core engineering responsibilities, its a great place to work for.
Cons
1. many regular processes regarding provident fund, insurances, vacation management is all over the place and needs stability. Company needs to hire GOOD people who take care of this domains. 2. One has to spend long hours and weekends to finish up important stuffs. There are many super late night meetings and team is still small and work part is increasing in size. Proper hiring and alignment can solve this. 3. Hiring is a challenge. Its not a cons actually, but one thing we haven't been able to close as needed. Some part of Engineering team needs to expand to other locations also so as to have availability in night.
