Pros

the paycheck. Simmons has the potential to be great.

Cons

the systems and processes are abysmal. the benefit packages are the worst in the industry. the insurance covers nothing with super high deductible. the vacation policy is not competitive and there are no bonuses. Long time problematic racist employees are actually encouraged by management. Nothing works like it should and it takes forever to complete even the simplest tasks on the redundant outdated software used here. Terrible work environment and an overall awful place to work. Talent is walking out of the door left and right

Pros

Very laid back and family environment. Some creative freedom to create a culture for your branch to cater to customer needs. Sales are implied, but you won't get fired per say if you don't hit goals; just won't get incentive pay. Some products are really top of the line. Constantly growing so there is room for advancement.

Cons

Training is really missing on core elements. Being short staff can actually hurt your location when it comes to meeting certain expectations. Certain aspects of branch operations are still technologically behind other competitors.

Pros

The pros are definitely the pay. The starting rate is decent for entry level. The benefits are ok. I would say vision and dental are the best. Also, there are some associates who are nice and knowledgeable.

Cons

This company does not care about its employees!! Most departments want to use you as much as they can without pay increase or promotion. Motivated, knowledgeable, hard working associates, who work their butts off, are passed up or overlooked for promotions because upper management would rather give positions to their friends. If you're looking for a "in the meantime" job this may be the place for you. Probably should go somewhere else if you're looking to make a career out of it. Almost every department is understaffed and over worked so prepare do be stressed out. This bank is also behind the times. Online Banking is primitive and the system is always going down. There's zero percent training manuals so you basically have to take someone's word that you're being taught right. There's a lack of communication between departments. One day we're doing it this way and the next we're doing it completely different. Also, supervisors who stand behind and support their associates are rare. Leadership is weak and morale is low.
