Pros
- Relatively OK working hours (depends on the team one belongs to) - Relatively high salary for junior members
Cons
- Regional offices are quite small (no single office in APAC exceeds 50 consultants), which limits exposure to diverse industries and functions—a key draw for junior consultants. - Within the life sciences division, at least in my office, 80% of projects focus on pricing and market access (P&MA). Outside the US, most P&MA work is about navigating each country's healthcare product regulations, particularly pricing rules. In practice, the role resembles a law firm specializing on healthcare regulatory way more than strategy consulting. - Exit options are quite limited - Not my direct experience, but some teams had terrible working hours (e.g., 80-100hrs or more / week)
