Pros

Free books and free wine at events

Cons

I don’t know how this company is still operational. Luckily most of the toxic people have been fired over the past year. It is yet to be seen whether things will improve now that those people are gone. I would tread with caution. They are understaffed and if hired you will end up doing multiple people’s jobs for a meager salary.

Pros

I've worked at numerous other publishers, both indie and big 5, and I was surprised how down-to-earth, smart, and passionate the people are here. No ego, just hard work and excitement about books. I have a great team that's always open to new ideas and extremely supportive. I hope little changes under KKR.

Cons

The pay, which is an industry-wide issue. It can be hard to achieve much with such small budgets.
