Sinclair bought out my local affiliate and shortly let go of our general manager who was extremely abusive and inappropriate. This was absolutely the right move. It felt like we were saved by Sinclair from this horrible person. Sadly, they did not act soon enough, and I had already had such a negative experience that I had to quit.

Cons

The situation with scripting the anchors is obscene.... Beyond that, I had an incredibly abusive boss who would belittle staff in front of each other and treat younger women in a manner which was not appropriate. I also had ambition to grow into other roles within my affiliate, as I was overqualified for my position. My boss had completely sabotaged any chance of this happening, despite cooperation from my desired department. Upon negotiating my position, I was told I could not negotiate my salary at all.
