Pros

- Work-life balance is actually very good for most groups - Technical challenges still interesting - The majority of rank-and-file employees are good people and workers - Middle-management didn't exist a year ago, but are largely competent and focused - Group slowly getting better about getting poor- and non-contributors to step up (rather than allowing them to do nothing)

Cons

- The group's top director is abusive and cited as a reason for leaving by nearly every former employee - Upper management was brought on as a start-up group, but hasn't sufficiently changed tactics now that group is 175+ - Director constantly adds new projects and initiatives to a staff that's been overstretched from Day 1 - All principal-level engineers (except one), are petulant, pedantic to a fault, and unconcerned about developing/mentoring their respective departments

Pros

Great people who are talented. The company promotes from within a lot. Overall, the company has several stations I great cities.

Cons

The stations are very understaffed. It seems like hiring takes place very slowly. Several people do multiple jobs due to the problem.

Pros

Good benefits, including tution reimbursement and adoption assistance.

Cons

Corporate sends stories news producers are encouraged to air and the stories tend to lean to the right, for anyone who thinks media is always liberally biased they would be wrong.
