Pros

The best reason to work for the company is the people. At my news station, CBS 21, everyone is gem. We're truly a team, from management to the cleaning crew you get the sense that everyone cares about your goals, career path and you. It is very much a learning environment and there's no position you can't try if you choose. There's room for advancement and in television news, advancement can be very quick if you're determined.

Cons

The only con I can think of is pay. I wish it was higher but isn't usually the case in most jobs?

Pros

Sinclair is a good place to get your feet wet. If you can get in the door, it is a definite plus on your resume.

Cons

Management is either clueless or just genuinely doesn't know what they are doing. They ask for suggestions, then never use any or come up with solutions to office issues on their own. They are also pretty bad when it comes to treating people with respect. If you are "lower" on the job chain then them, they might not even see you when they walk by. The holiday situation is pretty grim as well. If you like taking holidays, this may not be the place for you. Also, they have a pretty high turn over rate in certain departments.

Pros

Good experience, engaging environment, lots of new skills to learn, and pretty easy job make being a master control operator tolerable.

Cons

Lots of false promises and low pay make working the long shifts terrible. Expected to bend over backwards for little or no recognition.
