You have the opportunity to connect with employees across the country at many local news stations/work on cool shows

Cons

Zero work-life balance. Management could care less about employees. Low pay. Constantly being screamed at and cursed out by sales teams.

- personal growth - learning the industry - benefits aren’t bad - bond with coworkers over how awful management is and create lifelong friends

Cons

- management has no clue what happens in the newsroom - minimal resources - “must run” content that is heavily bias and you will get reprimanded if you do not run these pieces - personally had a bad boss which added to the already toxic work environment
