- One of two major cable-box content scheduling / advertising players (WideOrbit is the other) - Seems to have stayed relevant via continually acquiring the competition - Generally seem to be profitable + cash in hand

Cons

- They've seemingly failed to integrate any of the companies that they've bought over the years - Don't take any major risks or long-term bets - Management leads from the top-down. Particularly troubling for the Operative employees who were acquired for their digital tech, yet have no input into the new converged roadmap - Not much of a client-first mindset; especially obvious when it comes to negotiating contract terms / renewals

Pros

Operative had many pros: culture was amazing, process was well defined, products/service were all premier, and a ton of room for growth if you are willing to put in the work.

Cons

Sintec sucked all life out of Operative. Sintec does a lot of customized builds which is why they are able to gain so much business. However, they are only hurting themselves and their employees because they are known as the company who will custom build anything and the employees have to come up with solutions for sometimes insane requests. If you are looking to make money then go ahead and do it but if you value your sanity or career growth in any manner I suggest you stay far away from this company. Additionally, Sintec has a very bad reputation within this industry so don't put that stain on your resume.
