Pros

Great place to learn different areas of the business, to be part of a start up (and now the only satellite radio company). Cool people to work with. And nice perks.

Cons

You end up taking on alot of responsibilities, but dont get paid that well. Promotions seem to be not evenly based (you're never sure what you have to do to get promoted).

Pros

Relatively small workforce allows for access to top executives, and an ability to impact operations soon after joining. The company does provide excellent benefits, with a fantastic work location in midtown Manhattan. Like many entertainment companies, dress is generally casual, and the majority of people are friendly. There are also occasionally free shows that employees can show up and listen to when musicians come to perform on a particular channel. The best part of working at Sirius is that people generally have heard of it, and the people who use the service genuinely like it unlike many companies you could work for where you're marketing a product that just doesnt matter.

Cons

Horrendous communication and support from Human Resources, generally low morale related to lack of success in the business over the last two years. The focus on providing the best music service possible has been uneven for the last few years due to the distractions of the merger, economic conditions, and frequent changes at the senior executive level. There is significant turnover at the lower levels, and of course with the recent merger there have been numerous layoffs which many people are focused on instead of running the business. Ultimately, the way corporate policy is communicated throughout the company is probably the worst I've ever seen, and as most people who work at the company know, this is directly the result of atrocious HR department.

Pros

We did have interesting projects that were fun to work on. Unfortunately, there was a considerable amount of us versus them attitude that ran through most of the work going on including defining products and managing projects.

Cons

Lack of career direction given from individual managers. They like for you to work, but don't really provide any growth potential unless you're one of the favored individuals.
