Fast money, great hours, easy job, great perks. Overall it was a pleasant experience working at Worlds of Fun. There's always opportunity for hours, the pay was base but it adds up quick and you get an end of the year bonus which is nice. Great for teens to save up money during the summer. I worked in rides and honestly, I wouldn't want to try any of the other departments. The put a big emphasis on customer service here but it really doesn't matter. The guests don't care, they just want to ride, it's basically just like herding cattle around and buckling them in. Great opportunity to meet friends as well, since numerous people work here. I wouldn't mind working here again.

Cons

Hot, hot, hot, did I say hot? Breaks/lunches are a joke. Depending on where in the park you work it's at least a ten minute walk from your car to the locker rooms/break room, then another five to ten minutes to your station. Not to mention lunches are thirty minutes so if you work somewhere farther than Orient or Scandinavia, have fun spending half of your lunch walking back and forth in 100+ degree heat.

Fun with flexible hours. You learn some new skills ranging from how to operator the rides to socializing with the guests.

Cons

The pay rate is pretty low considering you have to work outside in the heat/humidity every day with little to no shade. Some areas do have shade but some places have none and breaks are done so strangely. You can be working 30mins and have your 45minute break; which means working the next 4-5 hours without a break. Also there is a major understaffed issue, don't be surprised if you end up working 4-5 double shifts in a week just to cover-up this issue. Plus no overtime pay.
