Pros

Flight Benefits, Health Benefits, Employee Group, the way company treats it's employees, ability to move up in seniority fast.

Cons

Lots of legs per day...sometimes up to 8 legs a day on the Brasilia.

Not the worst regional to work for.

Pros

Not too bad travel benefits. Pay was competitive and was adjusted appropriately for the cost of living in a city. Fair polices on safety. Good dental, health, and 401k plans. Fun atmosphere when not overly bogged down with work, co workers really made it a worthwhile experience.

Cons

Although safety was drilled to us at training, it seemed to sometimes be compromised at times due to the general rush of things. Communication from manager (whom I never did figure out who it was) was sketch sometimes, the "manager" was often confused for a fellow employee with experience. Understaffed at times, especially during the peak times. Safety a priority but not enforced if it meant something got done faster.

Pros

The ability to travel was a great benefit until major partners began putting their feet down in 2007 to 2008. The health and 401K benefits with SkyWest are very good.

Cons

Non-rev travel needs to be clarified. NEVER plan on getting anywhere you need to go for free. Travel benefits are for WHIM travel only. You look at flights that day and see if anything is open and go IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY. While the flights are free--hotels, cars, and food are not and you will not get rich working at SkyWest. Airlines think they can pay poorly, especially regionals like SkyWest, because you can fly "FREE"...nothing is ever free.
