Pros

the bestreason to work at Skyborne is the money, the compensation is above market and you can make decent money as a CFI.

Cons

the school does have a good foundation and CAN be a good school but management is ruining it. Current Management creates a super toxic environment to where you never feel safe working here. It is the definition of "big brother is watching". Every decision you make on the daily, you will always have the chiefs in the back of your mind. The school also has grown their instructors and students but do not have nearly enough airplanes to fit the need. Scheduling is horrible. you get your schedule the day before and it is nearly impossible to plan things ahead because it can be as late as 8pm the night before to get the next day schedule. They will tell you, you will work 5 days a week but it is always six because you are mandated to fly 75 hours a month.

Lack of understanding leads to chaos in US/ UK operations

Pros

Not working for or with the UK team before they took over.

Cons

Leadership clearly has no idea what they are doing when it comes to the US market. They seem to assume that US and UK sales are exactly the same, which they are not the markets, culture, and approach are completely different and that was never accounted for. Training on the UK side was poor and unfit for purpose. There was no real structure or support tailored to the UK team, and it showed. Decisions were being made by people with no understanding of the US landscape, and it created a chaotic and frustrating environment for everyone trying to do their job properly. They didn't want to listen to the team currently in the US. CEO didn't have confidence in anyone on the US side, and still doesn't to this day. No plans for growth in any role at Skyborne US, only the UK side gets promoted.
