Pros
You get to work in aviation, see nice private owned aircraft and get to learn a lot about the industry. Most of the staff were nice people.
Cons
I have many so I will only stay the bigger cons. First week on the job, my boss told me to not get used to talking to this employee because he will get fired. After a while, you realize that the management or bigger position are filled by friends. I remember the boss once told us in a meeting that we only get 0,10$/hr pay increase because people “don’t remember the money after a while so there was no point” They made a whole department train their replacements because they moved that department from montreal to Toronto. I got a injury at work that didn’t heal. My superior didn’t like that and I often got silent treatment from them. Or I was treated very poorly. One day, I noticed I haven’t been paid in over a month. Last string is they doubled my salary on my T4 before I left so I had to pay double the income tax on my annuel tax. Despite me telling them (with my pay stub as proof) that they made a mistake, it was like talking to a wall. My accountant was able to change it with the government but they re-issued the wrong T4 so I had to pay the government back with interest. I took them to court and won. Got all my money back and more for damages. To this day, I don’t understand how they are still in business. They are that special kind of human you don’t want to work for. Lots of turnover. After working for them I could never work again for someone, ended up starting my own business that is going very well. If I were you, I would look somewhere you can advance and grow in a company.
