It’s unfortunate to hear you are not having a good experience here at NAVBLUE. While we embrace a speak up culture, we feel the feedback does not represent the full snapshot. In terms of compensation, we review this on an annual basis and recently introduced a job grading structure and leverage robust market salary surveys (Willis Towers Watson). We introduced a bonus program where 70% of employees are now bonus eligible. We understand junior developers are excluded from this, however, this is aligned with industry practice for many companies. Our focus is to help them develop their careers and will work closely with them to support a development plan. One example of this is the introduction of a new grad program where selected employees have been provided with a trip to Europe along with fully funded certifications such as AWS. They also rotate to different teams to round out their skillset and are exposed to different technologies which helps them understand their strengths. As you mentioned, one of our strengths is our ability to adapt to change. As a management team, we adapt to meet the goals of the organization which may include changes in process and structure. This is an iterative process where we measure and make decisions and will seek input from our development team to drive improvement. Perhaps there’s opportunity to improve our communication when these changes occur and at the same time embrace our speak up culture. We are proud to be part of the Airbus family. While there may be differences by entity with other benefits as is the norm for global companies, we strive to ensure we provide a fair and attractive program for all. As for the region of Waterloo, the Toronto Waterloo corridor is not uncommon and when combined is the largest tech sector in North America outside of the silicon valley. It’s home to over 15K tech companies and hosts other major companies. We do have an exceptional pipeline of students available. With that, we are upfront about our hybrid policy and do our best to give flexibility while ensuring employees have purpose when they come to the office.
