      Great place to start your career and not as good to advance

      Pros

      - Big effort to cherish and maintain a fun, friendly and team culture. - Ability to touch on many innovative things if you are fresh off the school or coming form a boring full-time, long-time job. - Some managers are awesome and know how to get team to work together - Company representation - Trips if you are into it - Office equipment and provisioning - There are many other things to name

      Cons

      - Lack of transference from higher management. - Bad evaluation of experienced folks which make them leave soon after hiring. - Empty promises from higher management that don't get honored when deadline comes. (If something is promised on an interview, make sure to get it a written form before signing the agreement). - Humbleness is a sort of a value at Slalom, but don't be humble if you don't want to end up outside of close manager-consultants cool people fellowship and work on meaningless staff. If you are a "doer" make sure to gently and constantly brag as well. Otherwise you'll be just a "doer". In other words, know how to play office games. As an experienced professional cannot recommend Slalom to a friend but totally recommend it to a new graduates.

      Good Individuals Can't Make Up for a Negative Atmosphere

      Pros

      While the long-tenured employees are very kind, this seems to be more about individual personalities than a consistent company culture.

      Cons

      The overall atmosphere has become quite negative, and the positive culture that once existed is gone. The environment is now very political, to the point where some directors attempt to have others they don't get along with removed by reporting them to HR

      Everyone pretends to be cool.

      Cons

      College gag party. Very little sense. Most folks working in Canada have some sort of US visa issue. Slalom uses their Canadian workforce for "near-shore" operations
