      Pros

      Can't say enough good things about Slalom. There's a reason why Slalom ranked #3 this year in the Glassdoor poll. Want to work here? Bring your A game. Smartest people I've ever worked with.

      Cons

      Most consultants are hourly. Must be able to live with risk of income interruptions between assignments. If you're good, they will keep you as busy as you want to be.

      - Local model with limited travel - Good office culture - Flat org chart allows you to take on as much responsibility as you want - Opportunity to work with high profile clients - Depending on the project, a flexible schedule is allowed

      Cons

      - You can get lost in the shuffle if you do not take charge - Lack of a clearly defined career path - Too few vacation days

      Pros

      The firm has great clients, great projects, and our consultants really are passionate about building one of the best consulting firms in the industry. Also, while there is a focus on business success, the firm is very fun, social, and I really believe almost everyone here has strong friendships with co-workers. The local model really helps foster this. Also - the firm has strong leaders who care about the consultants in the firm.

      Cons

      The firm is growing very fast, with that growth, people have to be OK with change. Also - we really empower people to build and try new things...again, change is going to happen in a company that is never satisified with the status quo. Communication is something that is always an area that could improve as we move from a smaller to a bigger company.
