Pros

Compensation is good and health insurance is ok

Cons

Management/Sales promise everything to clients and send you to full fill their promises, resulting in 50-60 working hours per week for you. When you do the math for the hour rate, you realize that is not as great as you initially though. At any signs of you slowing down, HR gets involved and blame you for anything and everything they can think of. It's not worth the stress.

Pros

The team that you join makes a big difference on what your experience will be like. Met and worked with some great people that were smart, hard working, and fun. A pro and con….In many ways the company shows that it values it’s employees like in their annual retreats, swag, holiday parties, etc., but in other ways like 401k matching (though now 6%), ensuring employees are set up for success, better cross team alignment, professional growth (depending on your manager), HR support, diversity for non-technical roles, etc. could use more attention.

Cons

Some leaders and managers are part of the ‘good ole boys club’ and are in positions that they have no experience or knowledge of. There are no exit interviews. Lack of diversity in non-technical roles. While the Company has received many recruitment type awards (i.e Best Place to Work type awards, Diversity and Inclusion), but employees are required and told how to respond to the surveys for these awards.

Pros

Executives like to hear from employees and try to listen They try to be people focused as much as they can Work life balance is real here Growth opportunities are given

Cons

The company has changed so much since I started and almost multiplied by 10. This obviously comes with a lot of change. A lot of my coworkers are leaving due to the new executives and changes that haven taken place. In my opinion, the executive changes has made Slalom has lose its charm. It's becoming more focused on the numbers than the relationships and people focus that they previously had. When I left Slalom, I didn't feel cared for by senior leadership like I previously did. The close family vibe changed to more of a corporate vibe where I seemed more like a worker/number than a person. It's just not what it used to be and many long time employees are leaving because it. Also, they don't do anything to help with seniority and compensation. They aren't willing to pay fair market rates accordingly even if you have worked at the company 5+ years, and therefore they're losing on great talent who care about the company and perform well. Then they end up paying higher amounts for new employees coming in since they obviously can't get them at the cheap rates they were paying previously.
