Pros

As a former Accenture and McKinsey Consultant, I can share the primary reason why I shifted to Slalom: WLB. Period. Slalom is focused on company culture. Slalom values employees. They support professional and personal growth. Always encourage and protect PTO. Our team genuinely likes hanging out with each other. We all truly want to see each other succeed. Wonderful warm people who are excellent at what they do, extraordinary team focused environment. No one is left behind. Always True North. Integrity first culture. Reasonable 40-45 hour work weeks. You will learn a lot of new skills quickly, although the Slalom brand name is not nationally recognized, Slalom delivers exceptional work compared to and even better than Accenture, Bain, McKinsey. You will work with highly motivated and competent people who will push you to grow beyond what you thought possible. Interesting work that challenges you to constantly learn and improve. Culture is amazing and a central part of the Slalom experience. Incredible exposure to senior clients, ground-breaking topics and impactful projects. Your managing directors and principals are going to knock down barriers for you, connect you where you need to be connected, guide, support, direct and re-direct you. The office support staff is going to fix your computer after you spilled coffee on it for the third time, find you the unfindable data source, and smile and hand you a baked good after you ask for help re-doing dozens of slides. You are empowered and accountable but you are not alone. And the best part is you can't fail. Very learning-oriented culture, lots of feedback, lots of exposure to senior people. Despite the intensity sometimes, it's a fun and collaborative culture. Within the Consulting world, Slalom beats the competition in terms of worker experience by a long mile. Because after all, what all those people are reinforcing is that a Slalomer never lets another Slalomer fail.

Cons

Literally cannot think of any cons. This is the best company I have EVER worked for. 15+ YOE.

Pros

They seem to care about people. Good work-life balance There are some geniune individuals who care

Cons

It was hard for me to find a structure; leadership is busy on office politics. It feels cheesy sometime, everyone is posting on linkedin and liking and sharing what their manager are sharing. They can get too focused on reviews, sometimes feels everything is being done for reviews. I did not like the local and global layout. May be good for Slalom not good for employee, it limits the growth.
