This is John Tobin. There is not quite enough information for me to comment, but I can tell you that you get out of Slalom - especially in terms of pace - what you put into it. I would love to talk to you and find out what you are experiencing. Simply email me at johnt@slalom.com to set up a time to talk. IT Support Related Role

Pros

Good Culture and Benefits. People that you're assisting are often times understanding and very easy going.

Cons

Career in IT is stagnant. If you're in the IT Support Analyst role, you're going to be stuck there and for a while. Wouldn't recommend if you're trying to advance your career in IT. But if you're content with being in the same role, then this role is for you.

This is Michele Bleser. Thank you for taking time for to write this review and I really encourage you to come talk to me about this. We work hard on providing opportunities for growth within IT as well as outside IT. We have many examples of team members from IT Support moving into other roles in IT including roles on the Applications team, SW Engineering team, Infrastructure team, and the IT Operations team. We also have people who have decided to pursue careers on the consulting side. There are so many options and we want to hear your career goals and help you put together a development plan (that includes a mentor outside of IT Support) that will take you on a path to that next role you are looking for. If you are one of our support team members outside of Seattle, I agree this is a harder plan to put together and we are in the beginning phase of having roles outside of Seattle that expand past the IT Support team. Expansion outside of Seattle (and outside of the US) is a given and regardless of which of our Slalom offices you are working out of, let's talk and figure this out!
